Pablo Asbo is Head of Brussels Office. He has more than 20 years of experience in regulatory matters and competition policy in Brussels. Pablo has worked as a legal advisor to the European Commission Directorate-General of Competition for 6 years, dealing with antitrust investigations and merger control matters in different sectors such as telecoms, tech, energy, transport, chemicals among others. After that, he has worked as a government relations/public affairs advisor for clients facing challenging regulatory environments both at the EU and national level. 

He has advised clients in matters such as the reform of the EU telecoms legislation, the EU policy on standards essential patents, smart mobility issues in relation to access to data, the impact of fintech regulation on EU companies, among many others. He has also supported clients on antitrust investigations, merger control matters before the EC and State aid cases. 

Pablo has also worked as a legal advisor to British Telecom, after completing a traineeship at the European Commission Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content and Technology. 

Pablo is a qualified competition lawyer and holds a LLM in European and International Law from the Universities of Maastricht and Nottingham.
