Wayne Dunn has 30 years of senior-level global sustainability experience, working with corporations, governments, state owned enterprises, international organizations and civil society groups. He has a well-recognized global profile and diverse and comprehensive network, generated through decades of successful projects and assignments in more than 50 countries, including in the Middle East.
He has supported major corporations, governments, international organizations, NGOs, SMEs and other public and private sector organizations through sustainability-focused assignments and projects including training, strategy, reporting and communications, and other key strategic areas. He is a frequent lecturer on sustainability.
As the President & Founder of the Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) Training Institute, he has also served as the Professor of Practice in CSR at McGill University in Canada. On the basis of his extensive CSR and sustainability expertise and his well-known reputation, Wayne was appointed Chairman of Ta’atheer 2016, the Middle East and North Africa CSR and Sustainability Summit, and Training Partner for Ta’atheer 2017, where, amongst other programs, he led a training workshop on Sustainability Reporting and Communications. Wayne worked and trained individuals from various oil & gas and extractive industries as well as other sectors from throughout the Middle East.
Based on his profound knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), he is a founding member of the Advisory Board for SDG Advisors in India. He is currently assisting several energy related firms develop and implement sustainability reporting and communications systems and processes that include GRI compliance integrated with the SDG framework. He has served on CSR juries and expert panels worldwide, including in a number of Middle Eastern countries.
He has developed and taught CSR and sustainability programs for businesses, governments, executives, leaders and organizations worldwide, reaching every continent and over 40 countries, including many ME countries.
Wayne holds an M.Sc. in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and his work has global recognition including as the first ever private sector project to win a World Bank global Development Innovation Award, as a Case Study for the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and as a consultation best practice by the Government of Northern Ireland.
